Energy Production

Energy and metabolism are directly linked to the functioning of mitochondria, a component of cells that converts the food we eat into the energy that fuels biochemical reactions in the body.  Mitochondrial health can be negatively impacted by nutrient deficiencies, poor antioxidant status, stress, viral infections, bacterial infections, and poor detoxification which can manifest as generalized fatigue, GI symptoms, muscle weakness/cramping, migraines, and poor mood.

By improving the influx of nutrient-dense foods, the mitochondria are better able to utilize carbohydrates, fats, and protein to produce energy.
